"On 17 December 1976, 18-year-old Eduardo Raúl Germano was abducted in Rosario, Argentina. Following the commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the 1976 coup d’état, Gustavo Germano, Eduardo’s brother, began working on the photography exhibition "Ausencias" (Absences). Born in 1964 in the Argentinean Province of Entre Río, Gustavo Germano started taking photographs of the journeys he made across Latin America in 1987.

She investigated how outwardly visible identity markers (like skin color) impacted others’ perceptions of her character. Protesters left 7,000 pairs of shoes in front of the Capitol building Tuesday to symbolize the number of children killed by gun violence in the United States since the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in December 2012. From 8:30 am to 2 pm, the shoes were displayed on the southeast lawn in the hope of sending a clear message to Congress: Reform gun control legislation or more children will be killed by gun violence.

The Balloon Project is a multimedia work incorporating mechanical engineering and visuals to fuse art and politics. 32 balloons inflate and deflate to simulate refugee and migrants' breathing while fleeing their countries to seek safety and freedom in the world.

They went viral after they were installed by the two creative architects Ronald Rael and Virginia San Fratello. Between the erect giant steel posts of the border fence lie small gaps a couple of inches apart. It is this space where they installed the seesaws.

Each represented roughly 150 individuals who have died from gun violence since the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida on Feb. 14, 2018 which left 17 people dead and 17 more injured – most of the victims in their teens.

Each empty seat of this mobile art installation by Change The Ref founder Manuel Oliver represents over four thousand other victims of school shootings from the past three years alone. Oliver and his wife Patricia lost their son Joaquin in the Parkland shooting in 2018.
