The Balloon Project is a multimedia work incorporating mechanical engineering and visuals to fuse art and politics. 32 balloons inflate and deflate to simulate refugee and migrants' breathing while fleeing their countries to seek safety and freedom in the world.

While this protest draws quick and reactive attention and awareness to the issue at hand; it does fail to make clear the message that they intend to protest. The audience, which seems to be the general public, may focus on the scandal of the protest. The the vulgar display people as a bloody pieve of meat. Yet, these shocking images do draw the viewer to the cruel way animals are handled by the meat industry.

The post (r)evolutionary exercises are the outcome of a meeting/friendship/project that started in summer 2010, when we took part in "Goings on" seminar in Beirut, Lebanon. In this seminar, curated by Cecilia Andersson, Scandinavian and Middle east art groups were invited to meet and learn about each others practices.
